Locanda Veneta | Our Story
A Venetian tradition since 1988
Locanda Veneta has welcomed guests to West 3rd Street since 1988 — Northern Italian cooking built on honest ingredients, handcrafted pastas, and a dining room that feels genuinely like home.

Praised from the very beginning
The Los Angeles Times called us "the sort of place that grows on you, a nice little neighborhood restaurant." More than three decades on, the same dining room still draws locals, loyal regulars, and the occasional Hollywood face.
Chef André Ginekis
At the heart of the kitchen is Chef André Ginekis, whose classical French training and Italian heritage meet in every dish that leaves his pass. He cooks with the attentiveness of someone who understands that a great meal is, at its core, a gesture of care.
The kitchen and the craft
Lobster ravioli, wild mushroom risotto, Tuscan-inspired wild boar ragout — each dish is a handmade argument for simplicity and skill. America's Cuisine recognized the result as "award-winning cuisine" within an elegant atmosphere.

An LA treasure for fine dining
Red walls, vintage Italian artwork, and white-clothed tables create a warm, elegant setting for every meal. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or enjoying an ordinary Tuesday, Locanda Veneta offers a fine dining experience that feels welcoming, intimate, and memorable.
